The Istanbul Development Agency (ISTKA) officially launched its operations on September 14, 2015, as part of the 2014 Innovative Istanbul Support Program. Established with the support of the Istanbul Development Agency, Turkey's first Phytotherapy Training, Application, and Research Center, approved by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), is located within Bezmialem Vakıf University.
Phytotherapy, a fundamental treatment method within traditional and complementary medicine practices, has a wide range of applications and is successfully applied in the treatment of many illnesses. It is crucial that the herbal products used in this treatment are treated as medicines, that high quality control standards are implemented during the production phase, and that attention is paid to dosage, duration, side effects, and special conditions during use.
Turkey's flora possesses a rich potential for economically important medicinal and aromatic plants. Anatolia is the genetic center of many cultivated plants and holds great potential for the economic integration of medicinal plants. However, this potential is not yet being adequately utilized. As FITOMER, we meticulously conduct our scientific research and development activities to contribute to the economy by leveraging our country's rich plant resources. Our products, developed by our expert team, contain no additives. They are produced to the highest standards through quality control processes. Cold-pressed fixed oils, medicinal herbal teas, and beverages are carefully packaged and presented to the consumer after approval.
