Founded in 1972 with the goal of reducing Turkey's dependence on foreign sources in the construction and work machinery sector, Pi Makina became the first and only company to produce many domestic work and construction machines such as concrete batching plants, concrete finishers, asphalt finishers, transit mixers, graders, bulldozers, loaders, backhoe loaders, and tower cranes.

From its early years, Pi Makina has been involved in numerous projects including airports, dams, highways, thermal power plants, housing projects, and stone and mining quarries. Over this half-century period, Pi Makina’s work and construction machines have gained preference not only by domestic construction and contracting companies but also by foreign firms, securing a place in the global market. This success has enabled Pi Makina to reach tens of thousands of machine and facility sales. For over 10 years, with a high domestic production rate, Pi Makina has been manufacturing parts, systems, and vehicles for private and foundation organizations, becoming a significant producer in the defense industry as well. In the energy sector, it became the first and only domestic company capable of producing special products such as the fully automatic petroleum drilling rig that can drill down to 7,000 meters.

Today, operating on 800,000 square meters of indoor and outdoor production areas, Pi Makina employs more than 1,000 personnel and carries out steel construction welding, precision machining, quality control, heat treatment, gear and travel group manufacturing, and painting processes in its own facilities.

True to its founding philosophy, Pi Makina owns the "know-how" of all the machines it produces, strengthening domestic manufacturing and contributing to the growth of the national capital.
