Miraco

Miraco (Misr Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Manufacturing Co. S.A.E) was established in 1976 by Chairman Adel Barakat, who has over 44 years of experience in the HVAC industry. The first factory, built in Abu Rewash in 1979, spanned 5,400 m² with a production capacity of 2,000 units annually and 250 employees.

In 1992, Miraco entered a joint venture with Carrier Corporation, making Miraco Carrier the largest HVAC company in Africa. In 2010, Midea joined (Carrier 37.5%, Midea 32.5%), with Midea’s share increasing to 51% in 2019. Today, Miraco operates with state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies across more than 90,000 m², with an annual production capacity exceeding 1 million units and a workforce of over 1,400 employees.

Miraco is a market leader in Egypt, renowned for quality manufacturing, distribution, HVAC contracting, commercial refrigeration, and after-sales services. It also boasts the largest dealership network and the largest air-conditioning service organization in the country.
