Arab International Optronics (AIO)
Established in 1982 under Investment Law No. 43 of 1974, AIO is a joint investment company with 51% owned by the Egyptian Ministry of Defense and 49% initially held by the British USH Group, later acquired by the French multinational company Thales.
Construction of AIO’s custom-built factory began in 1984 on an 87,000 m² site in El-Salam City, Cairo.

AIO is certified to ISO 9001-2015 Quality Management System, reflecting its commitment to quality, transparency, and customer satisfaction.
