Saudi Power Transformers Company (SPTC) is a leading manufacturer of high-quality and reliable transformers, operating with deep respect for the environment and strong dedication to serving customers around the world.
Founded in 2010, SPTC was established as a joint venture between Saudi Transformers Co. Ltd. (holding 51%) and CG Power Systems Belgium (formerly Pauwels Trafo Belgium) (holding 49%). Through this partnership, SPTC benefited from advanced Pauwels technology under a licensing agreement with CG Power Systems Belgium. Today, more than 600 Pauwels-designed power transformers are in operation across Saudi Arabia, with capacities up to 500 MVA.
The SPTC factory in Saudi Arabia represents the latest addition to the CG Power Systems global network, which spans facilities in Belgium, Ireland, Hungary, Canada, the USA, India, and Indonesia. The Pauwels name has stood since 1947 for innovation, quality, and reliability in the field of transformers, with a commitment to both customers and the environment. CG acquired Pauwels in 2005, further expanding its global reach.
In 2017, SPTC became 100% Saudi-owned under the ownership of Electrical Industries Company (EIC). Today, the company continues to utilize CG technology for the design and production of power transformers up to 150 MVA and 245 kV, ensuring world-class standards with local expertise.
