Akyapı İnşaat San. ve Tic. A.Ş.

Founded in the early 1970s by entrepreneur Azam Yılmaz from Trabzon, Akyapı İnşaat initially operated in the housing sector with a build-sell model, completing over 1,000 residential, office, and commercial projects across Turkey between 1970 and 1985.

In 1987, with the entry of the second generation into management, the company became a joint-stock entity and shifted from traditional build-sell activities to government contracting. It successfully delivered numerous infrastructure and superstructure projects, including schools, hospitals, dormitories, and sports halls, through direct public tenders.

From the 1990s onwards, Akyapı A.Ş focused primarily on infrastructure investments, executing major projects such as dams, water supply systems, and sewerage networks for public institutions including the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works, Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration, the Ministry of Industry, and the General Directorate of Highways.

Since 2021, under the leadership of the third generation, the company has continued its operations with a machinery park valued at over $100 million, strong financial resources, and a broad technical capacity, undertaking both domestic and international projects.
