ŞEM LASTİK A.Ş. was established in Bursa in 1972 and produces rubber and metal combination anti-vibration products for commercial vehicles and rail system vehicles. Our company, which initially operated as a small workshop, developed in parallel with the great acceleration in the automotive industry in the 1980s with the high quality and service it offered and attracted the attention of major assembly companies operating in the sector. Considering the rapid development of the manufacturing industry and increasing global competition, we pay great importance to investments to increase production and improve product quality. With this vision, a steering and suspension factory was established in 2014 to expand the production area and produce tie rods, tie rods and axle connecting rods, and then the Shock Absorber production factory was included in 2022, reaching a leading position in the automotive spare parts market. In the light of technological developments on a global scale, design-R&D, patent and utility model studies are carried out in the company's R&D department, and all values are tested in three test laboratories belonging to Şem Group of Companies. More than 10,000 final products produced by the company are put on sale after going through quality control processes with the 0 error principle. In our company, where production is carried out at high standards, studies are carried out to reduce the carbon footprint, adhering to commercial ethical principles, respect for nature and with the vision of sustainable production. Moreover , it contributes to gender equality with the number of female employees, 22% of which is above the sector average. In line with this purpose, the company is structured in a way that directs its personnel to research and development activities in accordance with universal qualifications and supports these activities with modern tools and equipment. All production factories make production in line with ISO 16949 criteria with the highest quality management system in automotive industry. The production, with control and product traceability records, it provides assurance to customers that the products they purchase comply with international production standards and Şem Group production/control standards. Our company, which has greatly increased its capacity, has today become a modern facility that produces anti-vibration connection and joining elements consisting of rubber and rubber-metal combination in an area of 70,000 m² with a closed area of 50,000 m².
