In the early 1980s, a group of university students began producing men's swim shorts for conservative swimwear. This approach, which offered an alternative to the prevailing conditions of the time, was met with great enthusiasm and led to the establishment of the Haşema brand in 1987. Haşema began selling by mail in 1988. Recognizing women's needs in this area, it began designing swimsuits in 1990. In 1992, it pioneered the birth of a new category in Turkey and globally by introducing the concept of modest swimwear. In 1996, it opened its first store and began its retail expansion process. In 2000, it launched the Heşofman brand, again with the same perspective, for those interested in sports. Haşema has become a driver of change in the industry with its production of alternative swimsuits and sportswear. Since its inception, Haşema has fought tirelessly to ensure the global acceptance of modest swimwear, both in the media and social arena, free from prejudice.
