The Kolayli family began its journey in the confectionery industry back in 1920 in Afyonkarahisar, a historical city in the southern region of Turkey. Over the decades, the family engaged in various forms of trade and built up valuable experience in sweets and food production. In 1993, Mr. Ahmet Kolayli took a major step by founding a modern confectionery factory under the name Alko Confectionery, which introduced a more industrialized and organized approach to production.
Since its establishment, Alko Confectionery has successfully operated in both B2B and B2C channels, gaining a significant footprint in local and international markets. The factory operates with a multi-disciplinary approach, combining efficient production with strategic sales and distribution planning.
Today, under the leadership of the 4th generation, Mr. Cevat Kolayli, the company has experienced a new wave of positive change. Notable improvements include digital transformation, increased productivity, and institutional expansion into exports. Semi-automated production systems were introduced, allowing higher efficiency in manufacturing. Additionally, e-commerce and e-export activities were initiated to meet the demands of modern trade.
On the global stage, the company is executing a structured plan to strengthen its presence in the Middle East, Europe, North America, and the Far East, aiming to become a leading name in the confectionery sector. Alko continues to evolve while honoring its century-old heritage, providing high-quality sweets with innovation and tradition side by side.
