Founded in the 1960s by George Abdalla, Marmonil was born from a vision to bring Egypt’s ancient quarry wonders to the world. Our name blends Marmo (Italian for marble) and Nil (Arabic for Nile), symbolizing two rich heritages.

We own and operate some of Egypt’s largest and oldest quarries, including the legendary Aswan Granite Quarry, the world’s oldest, and Galala Quarry, Egypt’s largest. Our portfolio includes 7 types of granite and 7 types of marble.
