MAK overseas

Egypt
MAK Overseas is an Egypt-based firm running an integrated flax value chain; it started in 2008 as HTG and, since 2015, has focused on import & export of flax fibers and commercial agencies under its current brand. In 2023 the company added processing capability with a dedicated flax mill to reinforce quality and resilience. The portfolio covers long fibers (scutched and hackled), machine tow (short-fiber bundles), short fibers (Arrous), hackled sliver, and cottonised grades, tailored to customer specs. These inputs serve yarn & textiles, plumbing oakum, paper making, insulation boards, and selected automotive uses. MAK handles pre-loading inspections, marking, and sampling, with end-to-end logistics across road, sea, and air. A certified quality system and long-term sourcing alliances secure consistent performance. Operations span El-Mahalla El-Kubra (HQ) and Gamasa Industrial Zone (flax mill). The vision is to translate Egypt’s flax heritage into modern, high-performing products that deliver reliability and value.
