Saudi Arabia
• Established in 1955 by Royal Decree No. 731.
• Commercial Registration No. 4030000148 issued in Jeddah (1957).
• First cement company in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region.
• King Saud bin Abdulaziz laid the foundation stone of Jeddah plant in 1957 (capacity: 2,000 tons/day clinker by 1975).
• Operations moved to Rabigh plant in 1984 (capacity: 4,000 tons/day).
• Plant inaugurated by King Fahd bin Abdulaziz in 1986.
Company Operations
• Rabigh plant: initially 4,000 tons/day clinker.
• 1996: Line 5 added (+4,000 tons/day) → 8,000 tons/day.
• 2009: Line 6 added (+7,000 tons/day) → 11,000 tons/day.
• Operational improvements increased capacity to 12,200 tons clinker/day (13,000 tons ordinary Portland cement/day).
• 2007: Established Al-Qatrana Cement in Jordan (86.74% ownership), 5,000 tons/day clinker; commercial operations began in 2011.
