Founded in 1986 by Eng. Sherif Hassan Abd El-Khalek, the company started with the mission of supplying couverture chocolate to his family’s pastry business due to the lack of fine quality chocolate in the local market. Within three years, Swifax couverture chocolate gained a strong reputation, prompting business expansion.
1990-1993: Introduction of the Praline chocolate range with 8 flavors, designed for gifts and events, targeting hotels and pastry shops across Egypt.
1994-1998: Development of multiple product sizes, especially bulk formats, positioned Swifax as the preferred choice for bakeries and ice cream factories, allowing the company to identify and solve customer challenges.
1999-2003: Adoption of the principle "Professional means more than quality", balancing required quality with competitive pricing and strong after-sales services.
Since 2004: The company has obtained certifications in quality management, hygiene (HACCP certified), and business operations, reflecting the founder’s vision of taking Swifax to the next level.
