The story of Maison Manasseh began in 1880 when Beirut merchant Lutfallah Manasseh returned from Paris with the representation of luxury French brands such as the refined silver of Christofle and the brilliance of Baccarat crystal.
In 1935, Edouard Manasseh founded Ets. L. Manasseh & Co, securing exclusive representation agreements with Christofle, Baccarat, Lalique, Bernardaud, Foucher, and Boucheron, positioning the House of Manasseh among the pioneering luxury retailers in Lebanon and the Middle East.
After Edouard’s passing in 1962, his wife Nadia and son Lutfallah modernized the company, introducing the wedding list concept, computer systems, and opening the Ashrafieh branch in 1995.
Following Lutfallah’s passing in 2004, his sisters Michèle Philippides and Claude Issa revitalized the family business with a flagship store in Downtown Beirut. Today, CEO Michèle Philippides, supported by her daughters Evy and Tina, continues the family legacy, with Tina spearheading digital marketing and global customer engagement.
Today, Ets. L. Manasseh & Cie. SAL exclusively represents Christofle, Baccarat, Bernardaud, Gien, Mario Luca Giusti, and Sabre in Lebanon, while also producing exclusive luxury “Art de la Table” collections under the Manasseh brand. The House operates three prestigious stores in Ashrafieh, Downtown, and Kaslik.
