Founded in 1988 by Hasan Tigli, Metamar Marble has grown over its 36-year journey into a leading international natural stone supplier and service provider, gaining extensive knowledge and expertise in the industry. Today, it operates with 1,800 employees, 3 manufacturing plants, 11 owned quarries, and other exclusive quarries worldwide.

Since its inception, Metamar has earned a strong reputation in the global stone industry. In 1989, it introduced the “Light Bursa Beige” marble to the international market, becoming a pioneer in promoting beige stone exports from Turkey. As demand for travertine increased, Metamar was among the first to implement advanced machinery lines, transforming travertine production from traditional methods to modern technological processes.

In 2005, Metamar became the first company to quarry Tundra Grey and gave it its name, introducing this now-famous stone to the world. The company has also launched trendsetting stones such as Bianco Dolomiti, Nordic Grey, Aero Cream, and Simena. Recently, it has presented Alpaca, Nordbay, and Oceania stones from its own quarries to the market.
